Expedition

Boston Expedition 2023

Picture
What: Boston has a reputation as a walking city. As a troop, we will test this out as we journey on one of America's first historic walking tours, “The Freedom Trail”. We will explore museums, meetinghouses, churches, and burying grounds while we will learn about the brave people who
shaped our nation. We will discover the rich history of the American Revolution, as it began in Boston, where every step tells a story.
When: Arrive at SPC at 7:30 AM, Friday, April 28 (you will miss a day of school)
Return to SPC on Sunday, April 30th in the late afternoon but before dinner.

Cost: $55 per person – to cover Troop expenses (2 nights in cabin, bowling & pizza on Saturday).
Plus bring cash for meals - $75.00 is suggested, add more if you will purchase souvenirs.

The scouts will be responsible for their own money; purchasing their own meals.

Bring: We will make the hike in Class-A Uniform. This is a requirement. Definitely bring your sleeping
bag, pillow, pad, poncho, Class-B t-shirts for the evenings, a day pack, a refillable water bottle
and a change of underwear & socks. Don’t forget your personal hygiene kit. Pack lightly as we
will be packed into as few cars as possible - no frame backpacks.

We need parents willing to make the trip with us - please consider volunteering!

Deadline: For permission slips and money is Troop Meeting April 11th. (To be sure we have drivers)
